Spring Preventative Maintenance Checklist
- Clean and check gutters and downspouts
- Inspect roofing. flashing and siding for damage and holes to prevent water damage and heat loss
- Inspect attic for potential water leaks, mold, or animal nesting
- Inspect windows to make sure there are no leaks or damage
- Install weather stripping or repair caulking to fix any leaks
- Change out summer screens for winter storm windows
- Replace furnace filter
- Clean HVAC and dryer vent ducting
- Turn on outside water
- Install hoses and sprinklers
- Set up patio furniture, outdoor trampolines and above ground pools
- Start sprinkler system
- Insulate water pipes if accessible
- Use crab grass preventer fertilizer to protect lawn
- Plant new flowers and shrubs
- Install new landscaping materials
- Clean debris and leaves around the yard
- Pressure wash driveways, sidewalks and siding
